Sometimes, the greatest ideas are born over a plate of nachos. Two corporate dads sat one afternoon in late 2003, and after several topics they discussed over nachos, the conversation finally veered towards their kids. Scott Shoemaker and John Brousseau began trading ideas for products that would help parenting. A few hours of bouncing ideas around, and the next day their exciting journey began.

After much research and their own opinion as fathers (shared by many other dad friends) they realized that the diaper bag market did not carry products that a dad would feel inspired to use! A year and a half of designing, re-designing and research led to the launch of DadGear.
