Mary Malinowski of Stoney Creek, Ontario established the pre-cursor to Kushies – a company called Diana Dolls Wear Ltd. in 1953. From humble origins, it soon grew to become the only Canadian manufacturer of doll clothing and accessories. In 1988, the company was bought by Susan Malinowski and Sam Perez.

The first product they worked on was a re-usable form-fitted cloth diaper and they called it Kushies. They later went on to patent the Kushies diaper that was overwhelmingly popular due to its eco-friendliness and health benefits.

Kushies is now one of the best known brands for baby products in North America. For nearly two decades Kushies has been a market leader in the baby products industry in more than 35 countries. Located in a beautiful facility an hour’s drive from Toronto, all of this company’s corporate and manufacturing personnel are housed under one roof.

Kushies designs and manufacturers innovative baby products and accessories working hard to make sure that their products reflect the best workmanship and quality. At present Kushies produces more than 350 baby products using state of the art equipment. Baby clothing and award-winning toys and the re-usable cloth diaper are some of their well-known products.
