Serena & Lily was founded after a chance meeting between Serena Dugan and Lily Kanter in 2003. They came from different professional backgrounds. Serena was an artist and a textile designer while Lily was a boutique owner. They had a common vision of creating the best baby's room and in that sense they fully complemented each other. That vision of an aesthetically pleasing, fresh, and stylish children's room is what Serena and Lily offers through its products. The first Serena and Lily collections were released 8 months after their first meeting and consisted of 14 bedding sets that used 30 original fabric patterns. These collections brought an entirely new look to children bedding sets and became popular very quickly.

Serena and Lily is involved in its social mission to assist underprivileged and at-risk women and children. They partner with Gently Loved, a program that benefits Baby Buggy, a nonprofit founded by Jessica Seinfeld. By 2007, they would have donated 3000 new crib sheets to Project Safe Sleep, manufactured from fabric overruns and extras.

Serena and Lily is continuing to expand its collection and you can buy them all through Pippin Mcgee. Their products are evolving, as they must, but they retain the values and passions that made the originals so great.
